Blog Post #5

In the fall I plan to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I plan to double major in Spanish and computer engineering. I want to double major because even though I believe I am relatively fluent in Spanish, I want to establish credibility in my ability to speak and understand Spanish. Also, with majoring in STEM, hopefully it can be an outlet of reading and creative writing in Spanish. Since I started robotics in 7th grade I knew I wanted to major in STEM. After my first coding class I knew I wanted to do something with coding and computers. I found that Computer Engineering allowed for that because it is basically electrical engineering and computer science in one.

At SLO there is a blended program where I could get a masters in Biomedical Engineering, where I begin during my senior year. I hope by then I have decided if I want to go into the medical field or the research field. I know that I am passionate about STEM because of the ways that it can connect and help others. I want to be apart of helping others in whatever capacity I can. Whatever I plan on dong in the future I hope that I can always help others.

I am excited to start this pathway in my life but also nervous. Even if it doesn't go completely all to plan I hope I can enjoy myself and accomplish the goals I have now and will have in the future
